Aesthetic filling is the restoration or correction of the full anatomical tooth shape using composite materials. During the procedure, tooth grooves and cusps are restored, and the tooth shape, colour or direction can be changed.<\/p>

This is one of the most commonly used minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry procedures. During it, while preserving remaining healthy tooth tissues, damaged tissues, shape, colour and position in the dental arch are directly restored in the dentist's office in one or more visits using composite materials. For small defects, this is a quick, aesthetic and tissue-preserving solution.<\/p>

At our clinic, we strive to preserve intact tooth tissues as much as possible and perform the procedure without grinding them. Layer by layer, the dentine and enamel are restored with precision craftsmanship. This is a very delicate and precise work, similar to the work of a jeweller.<\/p>

When the enamel of the biting edge wears down, a softer tissue, dentine, is exposed, so the wear accelerates. With proper care, aesthetic filling can last up to 8 years or longer.<\/strong> It needs to be maintained just as diligently as natural teeth.<\/p>

Composite materials tend to wear slightly faster than natural tooth enamel. When large areas of the teeth are restored, the restorations may gradually lose their shine or show signs of wear over time. For this reason, we recommend professional polishing once or twice a year and, if necessary, refurbishing or replacing the restoration.<\/p>

It is important to mention that in the presence of parafunctions (e.g. bruxism) or traumatic occlusion, the load may be twice as high. As a result, restorations can wear more quickly, chip or lose their gloss.
