Diagnostics and Tests

Precise diagnostics is the first and most important step towards successful treatment. In modern dentistry, decisions are based not only on examination but also on advanced tests that allow for the most accurate assessment of the situation.

The modern diagnostic technologies used in our clinic help detect problems early, plan treatment and ensure long-lasting results. This allows us to see more than is visible to the naked eye, assessing not only superficial but also deeper tissues.

What tests do we perform?

Computed Tomography (3D)

Computed tomography allows for precise assessment of the jawbone condition, root canal anatomy and surrounding tissues in three-dimensional space. This is especially important when planning implants, root canal treatment or more complex surgical procedures.
This examination provides highly detailed information and helps make safe, well-founded treatment decisions.

Intraoral Scanner

The intraoral scanner allows for quick and accurate scanning of teeth and oral tissues without the traditional impressions that patients often find uncomfortable. The digital image is transmitted to the system in real time, allowing immediate assessment and precise treatment planning. Digital scanning achieves maximum accuracy, especially important when making aligners, prosthetics or performing aesthetic treatment.

Diagnostics with Carl Zeiss Optics

We use high-quality Carl Zeiss optics, which allow the dentist to see very fine details and accurately assess tooth condition. The magnified image helps diagnose early damage that is impossible to see with the naked eye.
This is especially important when performing precision treatments such as root canal therapy.

Panoramic X-ray

Panoramic X-ray allows for quick and accurate assessment of all teeth, jaws and surrounding structures in a single image. This is a fundamental examination used both for initial diagnosis and for planning complex treatments.

Dental X-ray

Dental (intraoral) X-ray is designed for detailed examination of one or several teeth. It allows precise assessment of root condition, cavities, filling integrity and inflammatory changes. This examination is especially important when performing root canal treatment or diagnosing early damage not visible to the naked eye.

Microscope

The microscope allows the dentist to work with extreme precision, seeing even the smallest tooth structures. High magnification helps diagnose damage more accurately and perform precise treatment while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. The microscope is especially important in root canal treatment, aesthetic restorations and more complex procedures.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

We answer the most commonly asked questions from patients.

Precise diagnostics is the foundation of all treatment. Only by properly assessing the condition of teeth, bone and soft tissues can the most effective treatment plan be selected. Modern tests allow problems to be detected at an early stage, when treatment is simpler and less invasive. This helps avoid complications and unnecessary procedures in the future. The more precisely the problem is identified, the better and longer-lasting the result.

The intraoral scanner allows digital scanning of teeth and provides an extremely accurate image. Unlike traditional impressions, this method is faster, more comfortable and does not cause unpleasant sensations. The digital data is immediately used for treatment planning or fabrication of restorations.

The frequency of tests depends on individual oral health and treatment needs. In some cases, tests are required before each procedure, while regular preventive tests are recommended once or twice a year. Your dentist will advise on the optimal schedule based on your individual situation.
